The Power of Intention – day workshop by Sita Brand
Workshop for Performers
Learn to truly engage your audience in a variety of settings. Drawing on techniques from Stanislavsky and Philippe Gaulier you will learn to be centered and perform with greater precision and authenticity. Please bring a story you know and can tell that is no more than 2 mins long and a copy of the text with you.
Sita has told stories for 30 years. Born and raised in Bombay she has travelled the world. From temples in Thailand as a Buddhist nun, to walking through a field of landmines in Laos she has a story to tell. After a career in theatre as a Director, Producer, Literary Manager and Performer she settled in the Yorkshire Dales for a quiet life. But ended up establishing Settle Stories to change the world through story, www.settlestories.org.uk. She draws on a range of performance techniques including Philippe Gaulier, Stanislavsky and actioning in her work. She wrote and toured ‘Memories of an Indian Childhood.”
